The secretary to Spain's two princesses is to be questioned in court in a probe of suspected fraudulent deals involving the king's son-in-law.
The court in the Mediterranean island of Mallorca said Tuesday that Carlos Garcia Revenga will be quizzed Feb. 23.
Garcia Revenga is secretary to Princess Elena and Princess Cristina. Cristina is married to Iñaki Urdangarin who is also to appear Feb. 23.
Urdangarin has not been charged but is a suspect in the case in which he and his business partner allegedly funneled about €5 million ($6.7 million) in public money their nonprofit foundation received between 2004 and 2006 to other companies they controlled.
The case has proved damaging to the royal household at a time when Spain is suffering a severe recession and 25 percent unemployment.
