The eye of a festival-goer, star of this year's Zinemaldia poster

The new image for the 61st edition of the San Sebastian Festival was unveiled at an event in San Sebastian's Eureka! Zientzia Museoa. The winners of the second online poster competition called by the Festival for its Official, New Directors, Horizontes Latinos, Zabaltegi and Pearls sections were all presented. The Festival will run from Friday 20th to Saturday 28th September.

The competition, open to graphic designers the world over, received 1,046 proposals from 327 authors.

In the Official poster category, "Óptico", by the Catalan designer and photographer Toni Pontí, who also won last year with his proposal for the Horizontes Latinos poster.

The winner in the New Directors category is the poster "Berriak" by the illustrator and graphic designer living in Bilbao, Lander Telletxea. Lander conceives his poster as "An explosion, an exclamation, effervescence, a direct tag... NEW! The New Directors are here!"

The Horizontes Latinos category was won by "Ciudad", by the Mexican designer with over 21 years of experience in advertising and marketing, Oliver Meneses.

In the Pearls category, "Gota a gota" by the technical architect living in Madrid, specialist in 3D design and infographics, Beatriz Galván de la Rosa.

In the Zabaltegi category, "Sin Límites", by the designer from San Sebastian Maialen Echaniz, creator of the art and design studio "Trystupidthings".
