Mossos d''Esquadra (Catalonian police) arrested two people in Camprodon (Girona) - near the French border - for being allegedly linked to ETA. The suspects were driving a van and were trying to reach France.
Those arrested were Adur Aristegui Aragón and Jon Rosales Palenzuela, news agency EFE informed. The same source states that the first suspect was linked to ''comando Bizkaia'' while the second one to street violence. It seems that this operation is linked to the arrest of Ibai Beobide on Saturday.
The suspects were not carrying weapons and they have already been taken to Madrid.
Plans for Catalonia
In the last two days, a total of three suspected members of ETA have been arrested in Girona: Faustino Marcos, Adur Aristegi and Jon Rosales. Aristegi and Rosales have been linked to Ibai Beobide, arrested last weekend cycling between Villabona and Asteasu, but not with Marcos. A further four arrests were carried out in Gipuzkoa on Sunday.
Alleged ETA-member Faustino Marcos, arrested on Tuesday on a train in Portbou (Girona) was intending to rent a flat in Barcelona and a country house in Girona, according to Catalonia’s Interior Councillor Joan Saura.
